The Elastic Stack brings together tools for collecting, storing, searching and exploring data such as application logs. Elasticsearch holds and queries the records, Kibana presents them to users, and ingestion components prepare and deliver incoming data. It is useful when teams need to search across many sources and build shared investigation dashboards. This historical umbrella chart also included optional components, whose authentication and retention responsibilities must be accounted for in any replacement.

Current guidance

The recovered incubator package combined Elasticsearch, Kibana and Logstash, with optional Fluentd, an LDAP proxy and Curator. Today’s eck-stack chart creates Elastic application resources managed by the ECK operator. Its similarly broad name does not imply that every old dependency, authentication arrangement or retention job is reproduced. The operator and its required custom-resource definitions are prerequisites, not incidental chart dependencies to overlook.

Break the existing release into responsibilities: storage and search, ingestion, visualization, authentication and index retention. Map each to a current supported component or an explicit replacement. In particular, do not silently discard an LDAP gateway or Curator policy while concentrating on Elasticsearch Pods. Review the selected stack versions, feature licensing and the application upgrade sequence independently from Helm release naming.

Stage the migration around a restored dataset and a controlled ingestion path. Confirm that users can authenticate, dashboards resolve expected indexes, transformations preserve fields and retention deletes only intended data. Keep credentials, feature-state backups and external integrations in the recovery inventory. Installing eck-stack proves only that Kubernetes resources were submitted; operational equivalence requires testing the workflows supplied by the original bundle.

Historical upstream link check · 2026-10-09

The recorded upstream address responded successfully (HTTP 200) on 2026-10-09. GitHub confirms that helm/charts is archived: this is a historical chart distribution, not evidence that the application itself is retired. Link availability does not certify the historical installation instructions or current security support.

Installs an elasticsearch cluster with kibana and logstash by default. You can optionally disable logstash and install Fluentd if you prefer. It also optionally installs Nginx-ldapauth-proxy and elasticsearch-curator.
