Project reference ↗

Apache Ignite combines distributed data storage with processing that runs across a group of servers. It can be used when an application needs a shared data layer or computation beyond a single machine, including database and caching use cases. The persistence and client APIs depend on the chosen major version. This entry's older chart packages Ignite 2, so moving to Ignite 3 is an application and data migration rather than a routine container update.

Current guidance

The recovered link identifies the deprecated community stable/ignite chart, whose metadata names Ignite 2.7.6. That identifies the historical package; it does not establish the lifecycle of every Apache Ignite release.

Apache’s Ignite 2-to-3 migration guide explains that application code cannot simply be reused unchanged. Treat a major-version move as an application and data project: inventory client APIs, SQL behavior, schemas, transactions and deployment assumptions before choosing a new chart or image. Preserve a rollback path and validate representative reads, writes and query plans against migrated data.

For Kubernetes operation, decide how nodes discover one another, how data survives rescheduling, and how capacity and failure domains affect availability. A higher replica count alone does not prove the chosen persistence or partition configuration will survive a node loss. Check the documentation for the exact Ignite major version, budget memory and storage explicitly, and rehearse restart and restore behavior. This page has not established current support for the archived chart or tested an Ignite cluster.

Historical upstream link check · 2026-10-09

The recorded upstream address responded successfully (HTTP 200) on 2026-10-09. GitHub confirms that helm/charts is archived: this is a historical chart distribution, not evidence that the application itself is retired. Link availability does not certify the historical installation instructions or current security support.
