Collabora CODE lets people edit office documents in a browser through an integrating application such as Nextcloud. The document-management application supplies access to the files, while Collabora supplies the editing service, including shared editing sessions. It is useful for evaluating or developing that online-office integration. CODE is the Development Edition, so teams considering a production service should distinguish its intended use from the supported Collabora Online offering.
Deployment and operating notes
Collabora distinguishes its free Development Edition, CODE, from its supported Collabora Online offering. The upstream Kubernetes chart documentation explains a critical routing requirement: users editing the same document and related clipboard requests must reach the same pod, using the WOPISrc document identifier. Simply raising the replica count on the historical single-pod deployment is therefore not a complete scaling design.
Identify the integration, such as a document-management application using WOPI, and verify allowed hosts, external URLs, TLS termination and WebSocket behavior. Evaluate the edition and support policy against the intended production workload. Some upstream examples still reference older ingress implementations, so translate the required affinity behavior into the supported controller you actually run. Test concurrent edits by two users, save and reopen, clipboard operations and a pod restart before cutover. Preserve the integration configuration and route back to the previous service if behavior differs; document storage usually belongs to the integrating application and needs its own backup plan.

Collabora is an online office suite.
This chart creates a single Collabora CODE Pod to run Collabora CODE suite, for example as integration together with nextcloud. Installation is based on the docker documentation CollaboraDocker.
For most easy integration its recommended to use cert-manager together with your favorite ingress controller to get a fully working, ssl-terminated Collabora CODE server.
