When an application fails, its logs may explain what happened just before the failure. In a cluster, those records are spread across containers and machines that can disappear. Logging tools collect, store and search the records in a shared place. This collection includes agents, processing tools and search interfaces; a useful setup often combines more than one of them.
This consolidated historical index includes every recovered entry whose membership in this subject is evidenced by an original category, tag or captured listing. It combines surviving snapshots; the ordering and membership of missing original pagination pages are unknown. It is not a reconstruction of any particular missing page. Individual entries retain their own historical text and review status.
